Pfarrkiche Kerns

In der Pfarrkiche Kerns wurde Niklaus von Flüe 1417 getauft.
Der Taufstein ist teilweise erhalten (im Kircheninnern).

Die heutige Kirche wurde von Baumeister Jakob Singer 1768, zu Ehren der Heiligen Gallus, Magdalena und des Heiligen Kreuz erbaut.

Nach einem Brand 1813 wurde Chor und Turm in klassizistischem Stil neu erbaut. In der Giebelnische über dem Hauptportal befindet sich eine übergrosse Statue des Niklaus von Flüe von Franz Abart.
